Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are guidelines & regulations established that ensure that field, packing and processing operations account for potential food safety issues.

Primus Standard GAP programs addresses the food safety topics of site selection, adjacent land use, fertilizer usage, water sourcing and usage, pest control and pesticide monitoring, harvesting practices (including worker hygiene, packaging storage, field sanitation and product transportation) and food defense.

Primus Standard GMP programs cover many topics including pest control, traceability, sanitation, food defense, maintenance, foreign material control and HACCP. PrimusLabs programs are tailored for different types of facilities including cooling, packing and processing and storage operations.

Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are developed and incorporated into the GAP and GMP program, providing guidance with respect to potential points for contamination and preventive or corrective measures to mitigate their effects.
